- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small red onion, cut into thin wedges
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 400g can chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons honey
The instruction how to make Tomato cinnamon jam
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Add sugar and cook for 1-2 minutes until caramelised. Add the tomato and cinnamon, then cook for 5-6 minutes until slightly reduced. Add honey and cook for a further 5 minutes or until thick. Cool slightly, then transfer to a small bowl and serve.
