  1. 1 cup freshly ground almond meal (store bought is also fine)
  2. 1/4 cup coconut flour
  3. 1/2 cup xylitol or coconut sugar (see Notes)
  4. 2 tbsp protein powder, natural or vanilla
  5. 1 tsp baking powder
  6. 1/3 tsp bicarb of soda
  7. 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  8. 1 tsp vanilla powder
  9. 1/2 tsp mixed spice
  10. 2 small ripe banana
  11. 3/4 cup dried pitted dates (fresh is also fine)
  12. 2 free-range eggs
  13. 1/2 cup coconut oil
  14. 2 tbsp goji berries
  15. 1 tbsp chia seeds
  16. 2 tbsp honey, plus 1 tbsp extra
  17. 2 tbsp ground almonds
  18. 4 tbsp coconut shreds
  19. 1 tbsp coconut oil
  20. 2 tbsp honey
  21. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  22. 1/2 tsp vanilla powder

The instruction how to make Banana date cake with streusel topping

  1. Preheat oven to 180C. Grease and line a cake tin with baking paper.
  2. Add all dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and mix with a whisk to combine and aerate.
  3. Add all wet ingredients to a good blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and gently fold through until combined.
  5. Spoon half the batter into the cake tin and drizzle with 1 tbs tablespoon of honey. Then add the rest of the cake mix.
  6. In a separate mixing bowl, add all of the streusel ingredients and mix. Spread over the cake.
  7. Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
